Located approximately 1h15 from the campsite, the “historic” Maramures is the area of ​​the department that is most prominent in terms of tourism. You will be able to see there among others the monastery of Bârsana, the merry cemetery of Săpânța, the museum of communism in Sighet, the monastery of Peri (highest wooden church in Europe).
